Yann LeCun

Originally from France, LeCun is a computer scientist who focuses on computational neurology, computer vision, and machine learning. Yann is a professor at New York University's Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Facebook's vice president and chief AI scientist. He is credited as one of the creators of convolutional neural networks and is widely recognized for his work on computer vision utilizing these networks. LeCun, Yoshua Bengio, and Geoffrey Hinton collectively earned the Turing Award in 2018 for their contributions to deep learning.
