Professor at Politehnica University of Timisoara, Romania

Radu-Emil Precup, Ph.D., is a professor at the Politehnica University of Timisoara in Romania and serves as the department's doctoral supervisor for automation and systems engineering. He joined the university in 2000. In addition, he holds appointments as an Adjunct Professor at Edith Cowan University's School of Engineering in Joondalup, Western Australia, as well as an Honorary Professor and Member at Budapest University's Doctoral School of Applied Informatics. Budapest University (previously known as Budapest Tech Polytechnical Institution) in Budapest, Hungary. At the Politehnica University of Timisoara in Romania, he now serves as the director of the Automated Systems Engineering Research Center. Since 2008, he has served as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Artificial Intelligence. He is also a member of the editorial boards of numerous other esteemed publications, such as Applied Soft Computing (Elsevier) and Evolving Systems (Springer). His major areas of interest in research include the creation and evaluation of novel control structures and algorithms.
