Nick Bostrom

By concentrating on the risks and ethical considerations involved in the design, Nick Bostrom is leading the push to develop AI ethically. Bostrom, a native of Sweden, has self-taught himself since leaving school. He holds degrees in philosophy, physics, computational neuroscience, and math, logic, and artificial intelligence. In order to study humanity and promote the significance of defining the future of AI, Bolstrom established the Future of Humanity Institute in 2005. His inclusion on the Future of Life's open letter, which also includes Elon Musk and Stephen Hawking and describes the dangers that AI poses to the globe, is particularly poignant.
