Dr Balaraman Ravindran

The Robert Bosch Centre for Data Science and AI is headed by Dr. Balaraman Ravindran at the IIT, Madras. In order to develop an algebraic framework for abstraction in reinforcement learning, he collaborated with Prof. Andrew Barto at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he earned his Doctorate. His interests in machine learning range from reinforcement learning to Spatiotemporal abstractions. His most recent study, which was supported by Google, will help a group of AI researchers forecast the likelihood that expecting moms may stop participating in healthcare programs.
