Computer scientist Amparo Alonso-Betanzos (born 1961) heads the Spanish Society for Artificial Intelligence.

She is a professor at University of A Coruña and heads the Institute for the Research and Development of Artificial Intelligence (LIDIA). She presently studies medicinal applications of artificial intelligence.

She won Spain's 1998 L'Oreal-UNESCO Prize for Women in Science.
