Adam holds a Doctorate from Stanford University and today, he is a director at Apple. Also, until late 2017, he served as the director of Baidu Research's Silicon Valley AI Lab. During my doctoral studies, he worked on early large-scale deep-learning techniques, sensory systems for home robots, and the co-development of an autonomous aerobatic helicopter. For unsupervised learning, object detection, and self-driving cars, he has created deep learning software for high-performance computing systems.
